You all know Adam Vomit from his bass playing in the Toilet Boys, but what you might not know is that Adam has another talent. Since he was young, he loved magic, and was also quite interested in ventriloquism. I had a chance to ask Cardone, and his sidekick, George Gorlick, a few questions about magic, ventriloquism, and Dee Dee Ramone.
 

Melinda:  When did you become interested in magic? 

Cardone:  I started with magic at the young age of 6.  My grandfather got me a magic set and I drove my family crazy.  My first paid gig was in the 9th grade.  I got $25 for a 30-minute show.

Melinda:  What did you want to be when you were a kid? 

Cardone:  When I was 2 or 3 I wanted to be a rock and roller like ELVIS. Then I got into magic and I wanted to be a magician or a ventriloquist.

Melinda:  How did you become a ventriloquist? 

Cardone:  It is hard to learn ventriloquism because of the lack of resources.  I started when I was about 6.  My sister had a dummy and a learning record Jimmy Nelson's Instant Ventriloquism.  I learned a lot, but not enough.  I didn't have the discipline or the time to really learn.  Then I found the Maher course.  This is the only course in ventriloquism that gives you a certificate when you complete the course.  It's one of the best things I ever spent money on.  I learned professional ventriloquism and I learned how to make George.

Melinda:  How long did it take to make George and what is he made of? 

Cardone:  It took about 5 hours a day for a month to make George.  He is made from EVERYTHING!  Wood, glue, paper, metal, human additives...

Melinda:  Is he still upset with Dee Dee Ramone? 

Cardone:  Yes.he is.

George:  HEY!  THIS IS GEORGE TALKIN NOW!!!!!  I STILLLLLLLLLLLL HATE THAT CRACK HEAD MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!!

Cardone:  Sorry, He took over for a second.  As you can see, he still has strong feelings.

Melinda:  Do you and he perform often? 

Cardone: George and I perform at least 3 times a month.  I can't book shows too far ahead because of the Toilet Boys, but that's OK!

Melinda:  What does George like to do in his spare time? 

Cardone:  Sleep, write new comedy material, dream of Las Vegas

George:  PLAN OUR SATANIC AGENDA.  THAT'S ANOTHER INTERVIEW!
